Now that I got in touch with my moving team and my internet provider, I can tell you that I strictly WONT be able to connect to the internet from the 8TH march 2013 to the 11TH march 2013 INCLUDED.
During this time, I (nor VirtualInsanity Resident) won’t be able AT ALL to handle customer service due to the lack of connection.
ON TOP OF THAT, I have really much to do with that moving thing due to the administrative, boxing, unboxing, painting, furniture building and un-building thing… So I won’t be able to get on the Internet MUCH from about 22nd feb until about 20th march 2013.
Please EXCUSE ME for the delays. Be sure that if you have to wait for too much, I’ll try to help as quick as possible whenever I can but all that I ask is for patience.
Since moving is one of the most stressful events in life with marriage and losing someone close, I think that you’ll understand that.

Just a quick information about [VIRTUAL/INSANITY]…
We are in the middle of a bunch of changes in real life. I restarted working (again) 2 weeks ago and we are moving from our flat in a few weeks. We therefore have now few time build and create stuff. Please be patient until we are all set at the new flat.

Just like last year, we’ll be joining the Jack or Jill Hunt 2.0 but on the Female Path.
And here is our contribution.

In a few weeks, [VIRTUAL/INSANITY] will be 4 years old and we can’t be anything but recognizing to all of the customers, fans, designers, bloggers, who helped us during these long years.
But everything changes and in may, after 3 years living with a disabling chronic disease named fibromyalgia, and with the support of my rheumatologist, I’ve been restarting to work as a job coach in real life. It gave me a lot of satisfaction and I’m not intending to stop.
But that leads us (me and my co-designer and first-life husband Moolfryt Klang, who works full time as psychologist) to have way less time to take care of Second Life. Less time to build, less time to follow the regular events, less time to know what’s new, less time to deal with the sim, the mall, …
Since a few weeks, we’ve been thinking about how we see our future in Second Life, through those changes. And we’ve sadly come to the point that we can’t cope with the sim any more. This is way too much of investment for us, and with a big part of collection getting older, we don’t need that much space any more.
When I do something, I want to do it right and entierly. I don’t want to *pretend* I can deal with all of that work if it is not the case any more. This wouldn’t be honest to myself and stressful, and it wouldn’t be honest to you.
We therefore decided to move our mainstore to a simple land on a sim you may know, Dark Tranquility, which is SAKIDE’s home since years.
We’ll say goodbye to Bada Bing tomorrow.
And you’ll get the landmark in a few hours, once we are able to open. The landmarks will be progressively changed in all of our malls stores vendors… And it may take a bit of time too !
Now for the questions you may ask :
✿ Can you summarize what’s changing ?
- The store is moving.
- The mall is closing.
- The collection will be smaller.
- The older collections will be progressively be added to the marketplace so that you can still purchase it out there.
✿ Will you stop building and release new stuff ?
Definitely not.
The store is my creative outlet and I don’t want to let it go.
But building in SL is a huge work, not only because building can be complicated but also because, if you want your store to be and keep succesful, you have to be reactive.
Events come and go. When one stops, another one is coming. You never have the chance to take a break. In one month, Valentine’s day is coming. A few weeks after, it’s time for St Patrick’s day. Just after, Easter is on the corner. And then summer will be there. You’ll have noticed that my XMAS collection was way smaller than before. This is the why. I don’t have the time any more to be that reactive.
But I’ll still build, I’ll still participate to events. But on my own rythm. And I’ll prolly be able to make more good quality stuff that way.
Racing to releasing new stuff isn’t any good for creativity, believe me.
✿ Which products are you going to discontinue ?
All of the nails are staying. Most of the make-up too. A big part of the jewelry too. Most likely, the items you seem to prefer will stay. But what is older, outdated or what doesn’t fit anymore with my vision of the store will be discontinued.
It may take some time but I’ll update the marketplace with the discontinued items so that you can still purchase it that way, though.
So you don’t have to worry. I’ll just need a bit of time but it will be fine.
✿ Why are you moving to Dark Tranquility ?
I had my building platform there since a very long time.
Kinu Mayako, SAKIDE’s owner is a long-term friend. When I asked her if she knew where I could set up a parcel (without getting in trouble with lag and bad neighbours), she said she’d be able to rent me some land on her sim. So I said yes. And I am very thankful to her.
✿ I liked your store… Are you changing the lay out ?
No. I am keeping my build, which looks so like [V/I].
However, the store will be in a skybox with just a bit of trees and flowers around it. It will be a way smaller place… But more cosy :).
✿ Are you closing the sim because it is too expensive ?
A sim is costy for sure. But that is not the reason why we are closing it.
I’ll be re-opening a sim if I ever get more time again to give it a 100% investment.
✿ What about customer service ?
This isn’t as if I wasn’t logging in any more, right ? We still are logging in everyday. So customer service just happens as usual. Notecard VirtualInsanity resident with your questions and we’ll get back to you.

I like those stores too. This is the reason why I’ll include in the next notecard the LMs to their mainstores ! ^-^.
✿ When will you be done transfering the “older” items to the MP ?
I can’t tell when. It will depend on my RL work and I’ll also be moving in RL in a few weeks too. I’m going to be very busy.
So it may take a while but you can also notice that a lot of items have been recently added.
We’ll therefore do it as fast as possible but please be patient !
